What Legal does for you

Legal is where contracts, NDAs and supplier agreements live, from the first draft to the renewal decision, linked to the customer or supplier they are with.

Clause library and AI drafting
Keep approved wording by topic and insert it as you draft. AI can draft a clause against the document you’re working on, for you to accept or reject.
Review with real sign-off
Send a draft to named reviewers. Rules set how many approvals a contract needs by type, value and jurisdiction, and nobody can approve their own document.
Signatures, native or DocuSign
Signers get a single-use link that needs no Cyril account. Every view, signature and decline is recorded, and the sealed PDF is stored with the contract.
Obligations and renewals
Record what you owe and when, including commitments that repeat every quarter or year. Reminders go to the person responsible before the date, not after.

Know what’s expiring before it renews without you.

The Legal home leads with what needs a decision: contracts already expired, contracts expiring soon, obligations due and renewals waiting. Decide to renew, renegotiate or let it lapse, and the reminder stops for that term.

  • Already-expired contracts listed first
  • Each renewal decision recorded against its term
  • Reminders go to whoever owns the obligation

A second reading of every contract, against your own playbook.

AI risk analysis reads the contract and flags missing standard clauses, unusual terms and places where it departs from the wording your clause library approves. It is advice for a person to check, and never counts as an approval.

  • Each flag names the clause it departs from
  • Your library’s approved wording is the reference
  • Sign-off still comes from named reviewers

Common Legal questions

Do we need DocuSign?

No. Signing is built in and works for external signers without a Cyril account. If you already use DocuSign, connect it and each envelope’s status comes back to the contract. Adobe Sign is planned, not built.

Do sales contracts from Finance show up here?

Yes. Commercial contracts tied to invoicing appear in the same Legal register, so there is one list of everything the business has agreed to.

Who can read an employment contract?

Legal applies its own visibility rules, because an employment contract carries a salary. HR sees whether an employee’s paperwork is signed, not what it says, unless they also have access in Legal.

Does the AI review replace a lawyer?

No. It points at things for a person to look at. Approval still comes from the reviewers you name, and an AI analysis never satisfies an approval rule.
